Our story
Why we started
Something shifted in 2026. Almost everyone we talked to was using AI, drafting emails, answering questions, thinking out loud. And one question kept coming back to us: how do I get an AI to actually do this specific thing for my business? Not another chat window. A real agent that owns a real job and simply gets it done.
The demand was already there. What was missing was anyone making it easy. Building a specialised agent was still genuinely hard for anyone who is not technical, and most tools quietly asked people to become engineers first. The people with the most to gain from automation were the least equipped to build it.
So we decided to do the hard part ourselves. It should work out of the box, and for teams it should come with people who shape the agent around how the business actually runs, then keep it sharp long after day one.
That started as one AI employee for everyday work. Today it is a family of products under one lab: Basepoint Work for the business, Basepoint Code for the codebase, and more on the way.
What we believe
